Huge Holiday Savings Just For You! 25% Off Our 1-Hour
In-Office Whitening!

Fact: One of the first things you notice about people is
their smile. When you meet someone with a bright, natural smile, it
catches your attention. However, over time, the natural aging process and
your lifestyle (smoking or drinking coffee, tea, or wine) can stain your
teeth.
To get your smile back to looking its
best, we have investigated many of the in-office whitening systems
currently available and have selected one that I feel is both safe and
extremely effective for our patients.
The Brite-Smiles System achieves the
longest-lasting results and gives you the most naturally brilliant and
uniform look. It is clinically proven to be safe and effective and uses a
low concentration of active ingredient (hydrogen peroxide) with a safe,
activating light. The results speak for themselves! The feature that sold
me was the decreased sensitivity noted over other in-office whitening
systems such as laser and Zoom!
Give our office a call today to schedule
your 1-Hour Whitening and get 25% off the procedure.*

Cosmetic Dentistry: Invisalign® Invisible Braces
|
|

|
|

- No
more metal braces! Now you can straighten your teeth invisibly!
Because Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to position and
straighten teeth, you can keep your active lifestyle during
treatment, and no one has to know.
- Unlike
traditional braces, Invisalign aligners have no metal bands or wires
to irritate your mouth.
- With
Invisalign, brushing and flossing is a breeze. This can
significantly reduce the incidence of tooth decay and periodontal
disease that often occurs during traditional orthodontic treatment.
This is primarily due to the amounts of plaque and tartar that
buildup around brackets and wires.
Dental researchers have produced a
revolutionary new technique that has brightened the smiles of thousands
of patients. The system is called Invisalign, and it's the invisible way
to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable
aligners.
When I first heard about Invisalign
almost 3 years ago, I was absolutely amazed by what Align Technologies
had achieved. The idea of using clear aligners to move teeth was not a
new idea. The idea has actually been around for a number of decades, but
it required substantially more cost and time for the patient. Align has
removed the time consuming aspects of multiple dental records
(impressions) by using a single, initial dental impression that is
scanned by a specialized CAT- Scan. From the scanned impressions, they
are then able to generate accurate, computer generated 3D models of the
patient’s teeth. With the help of some sophisticated software, the
dentist is able to generate a customized prescription that is then used
to fabricate the aligners.
Invisalign treats the vast majority of
common problems for adults and teens. Invisalign is successful at
treating crowding or excess spacing of teeth. It can also be used to
treat more complex cases such as overbites, underbites, and even
crossbites.
Call our office today for a no
obligation, no cost consultation to see if Invisalign is for you!

Preventive Dentistry: Why are dental cleanings good for
my heart?
|
|

|
|

The American Heart
Association claims that chronic infections such as dental infections or
chronic bronchitis may more than double the risk of stroke. The findings
are consistent with earlier report of a link between chronic infections
and atherosclerosis. A study reported at the University of North Carolina
showed increased risk of heart disease and stroke in people with
periodontal disease. People with heart disease or primary cardiac event
are now being referred to their dentists to “get their mouth
cleaned up”. Patients with poor dental status, linked to gum
disease, are at a 2.6 times greater risk for stroke or TIA’s
(Transient Ischemic Strokes).
Take home message:
Brush and floss. It could save your life!

Welcome to the first issue of Top Smiles©. The newsletter is an
effort to provide our patients with current information on having and
maintaining a youthful and healthy smile. In addition to covering disease
prevention and oral health, we’ll also attempt to de-mystified some
of our dental procedures, and just to keep it from getting too boring,
throw in some general interest stuff!
While we will try to
raise the collective 'Dental IQ' a notch we'll also be reporting on the
best that todays Dentistry has to offer. If you have any questions
you’d like answered regarding any aspects of oral health, feel free
to beam me a line @ (http://drjoshi.com/contact.asp) . I look forward to
